Publisher Microsoft Studios has reportedly confirmed that Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition will be arriving in October.
"A Game of the Year Edition of Halo 4 will be offered this October, offering tremendous value for fans who want to enjoy one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2012, and additional DLC all in one place. We will have more details to share during the live stream of the Halo Global Championship Finals this Sunday," a Microsoft's spokesperson said, according to IGN.

IGN was privy to an image from a source which showed that the Game of the Year Edition will be costing $49.99 (£32). It will include Spartan Ops Season 1, War Games Map Pass, Halo 4 Champions Bundle and DLC bonuses that were available in pre-order and in Limited Edition of the game.
Champions Bundle DLC
The downloadable content will provide players with new multiplayer maps called the Bullseye Pack and a new game type called Ricochet, apart from offering numerous weapons skins and customisations for the armour. The DLC's Steel Skin Pack will be offering players steampunk skins for their weapons and they will also be eligible for legendary new armour from DLC's Infinity Armour Pack.
One of the new maps is Vertigo, which a medium sized outdoor map. It is an eight- player match with two bases on either sides. One of the bases has a sniper and the other can be used for hiding. Players can play Team Deathmatch and Extraction game types here.
The game also features Pitfall that is a remake of a Halo 3 map. Players can play Ricochet in this map and will have to pick up a ball and pick some power weapons and whoever has the ball will have to get inside the base of other group, NZGamer reported. Ricochet is a new gravball game type.
The Champions Bundle costs 800 Microsoft Points, and was released on 20 August 2013.
Halo 4 is a popular FPS game from Microsoft Studios made exclusively for its Xbox 360 console, which saw a release on 6 November 2012. The game had sold four million copies by 6 December 2012.
The Wired reported that the about 8 million copies have been sold so far with about 25,000 people playing it online at any given time.
